At les Jardins Sauvages for the winter season...

With the mushroom event now behind us, it is back to business as usual, that is:

 

 

A five course menu that changes weekly, featuring wild plants, mushrooms and game, 75$ including tax, not tip (with a Quebec cheese plate option).  Bring your own wine.  Weekends.  On Reservation only.  450-588-5125.  www.jardinssauvages.com

 

 

Holiday Menu:  For the month of December, the weekly menus will include touches of Christmas, with a fancied up tourtiere and buche say, stuffed pintade, root vegetables, apple and squash in all forms, spices and braises - festive and heart warming dishes always with a wild side..  And of course, a foie gras course (on customer demand) for those who want it, for a 20$ supplement. 75$ tax included, not tip for the five course meal.  For seven courses (with cheese and foie gras), 100$.

 

 

Our annual duck event (2010) will take place starting January 29th for two weekends, Friday and Saturday nights at 7pm and Sunday lunch at 1pm.  Seven courses of duck in all its guises, through to dessert.  100$ tax included, service extra.  Bring your own wine.  For reservations, call 450-588-5125.  The menu will be posted in December.

 

 

 

Wild Mushroom Event at La Table des Jardins Sauvages!

 

This year, the dates for our wild mushroom event at Les Jardins Sauvages are:

October 16th to November 1st : three weekends, Friday and Saturday night at 7pm, Sunday lunch at 1pm.

 

As usual, it is a seven course tasting menu featuring 20+ kinds of wild mushrooms, from appetizer to dessert. 100$ tax included, service extra. Cash or cheque only, no credit or debit. Bring your own wine, beer or Porto.

 

Please see the attached menu. Note that there might be minor changes to the menu depending on the harvests in the upcoming months and all the varieties yet to come in – you can never know with mushrooms.. But no worries, we are off to a good start! 20 kinds is a minimum.

King Bolete (Porcini) and wild ginger galantine,

Morel and Delicious Lactarius sausage,
