Regenerative agriculture is win-win  And yes profitable if you look at less inputs for stronger plants/soil/more markets.. So maybe more complicated/long term, but not for anyone who cares, so normal! And that’s what really good food (even things) and sustainability is all about..  https://www.forbes.com/sites/forbesfinancecouncil/2020/01/30/is-regenerative-agriculture-profitable/amp/?

Rewilding food and farming -Forget fake food!   ‘The problem is not farming, but industrial agriculture. This commodity-based, fossil fuel intensive and chemical intensive industrial food system has contributed 50 percent of the greenhouse gas emissions that are causing climate havoc and threatening agriculture.’

‘Real farming is farming with nature, in nature’s ways, which are the laws of ecology. Real food is a by-product of the economy of care for the land. It protects the life of all beings on earth and also nourishes our health and wellbeing.’

‘“Sensible farm policies” not only exist but are today being practiced around the globe.  Agroecology, which encompasses common ecological principles - organic farming, permaculture, biodynamic farming, natural farming regenerative agriculture, among many others - has been recognized as the most effective sustainable and equitable method of farming which also addresses the challenges of feeding the world in an era of climate crises.’

Beyond Fish, now (Sigh).  Following in the footsteps of ‘ Beyond meat’, carrots that are ‘meat protein’, this seems to be a thing.. Something for everyone who doesn’t want to eat real food. .. Why Veganism is not the answer if you want to save the planet! Important reading, especially now that so many people are going vegan and all and high and mighty about it – so off base! It’s not meat persay that is the problem but how we produce most of our meat -the industrial system.  Why ditch local wholesome cheese and eggs in favour of imported coconut and cashews and sketchy mass-produced tofu and gums? Going back to small traditional diversified organic farms, eating less but better meat is what makes most sense, not to metion tastier! https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/aug/25/veganism-intensively-farmed-meat-dairy-soya-maize?
